Five Of My Favorite Home Decor Stores In The Bay Area

Home Decor near green valley Fairfield

Furnishing a new home is an exciting yet sometimes daunting task. With so many home decor options out there, it can feel difficult to stand out from the crowd without compromising on quality and luxury. In my 15 years of experience as an interior designer serving the Solano and Contra Costa County areas, I’ve found several shops that allow me to do just this for my clients.

Without further ado, here is my curated list of my five favorite interior decor stores in the Bay Area!

  1. RH Outlet (Vacaville) – located near the Vacaville Premium Outlets, RH (formerly known as Restoration Hardware) offers luxury home decor sure to complement any space perfectly. RH is a name brand and household staple that does not compromise on craftsmanship or quality. Any of their signature decor pieces would make an excellent addition to your home!
  2. SOBU (Oakland) – founded by husband and wife interior designer duo Laleh and Alessandro Latini, SOBU is well-known for designing and selling their own line of sustainable furniture and accessories. SOBU’s premier designs incorporate the finest natural materials, including plantation grown hardwoods and cotton and leather. In addition, their pieces feature heirloom-quality designs that are made to be cherished and passed down with pride. In addition to carrying their own brand of products, SOBU also carries curated pieces from local artisans.
  3. West Elm Outlet (Vacaville) – this store is another outlet outpost of a popular luxury furniture and decor brand, West Elm. As a brand, West Elm is focused on giving a platform to burgeoning artists, collaborating with artisan collectives all around the world to help preserve handcrafted traditions. The brand has invested approximately $200M in artisans and local craftspeople. This commitment to procuring and curating unique goods can be reflected in the craftsmanship of their decor – a piece from West Elm will really tie your home together!
  4. The Home Index (Napa) – located in the heart of Napa, The Home Index is a shop that specializes in quality furniture, room decor, and interior design. The store also offers interior design services in-house and strives to help shoppers and clients alike create authentic and chic spaces. Their newly renovated midtown Napa location sells beautifully crafted furniture pieces as well as designer fabrics and wallpapers, rugs, textiles, and home decor accessories.
  5. Mecox (Napa) – the Napa location of Mecox is one of the small chain’s eight outposts, sitting on First Street. This location features furniture and decor tailored to the aesthetic of the Napa Valley, including The Mecox Collection – a line of furniture encompassing rope, rattan, parchment, and faux shagreen goods, along with a hand curated selection of Asian-inspired furniture, mid century-style seating, and French provincial-style case goods. If you’re looking to furnish your house in livable luxury, check out Mecox in Napa!
